Sethupathy Government Arts College, Ramanathapuram has been established by the Government of Tamilnadu in the year 1965 (GO MS. N o. 566 /EST Dept. Dated 14-7-1965) with undergraduate courses It is a Co-Educational Institution and situated in a rural area. The College was affiliated to the Madurai Kamarajar University, from 1965 to 2003 and has been subsequently Re-affiliated (may 2003) to the newly established University of Alagappa University
